On their second album, Life Is Peachy, Korn amplifies their metallic influences, exploring deeper into dark and gritty sonic textures and fierce, menacing rhythms influenced by underground black metal. While adding alternative rock elements to their music, Korn maintains a catchy and accessible sound for the masses, as shown by their continued growth in songwriting. Yet, the band’s real force lies in their intense and visceral sound, which resonates more powerfully than their individual songs. Although the riffs may not always stick, the primal guitars and vocals always pack a punch.
