Love Battery – Dayglo – Royal Blue Vinyl Record

Description

In the midst of the grungy sludge scene of Seattle in the late ’80s/early ’90s, Love Battery stood out with their unique sound. Dabbling in psychedelia and catchy melodies, their music had a distinct British flair that set them apart from other bands on Sub-Pop’s roster at the time. Now, Jackpot Records is bringing back their album Dayglo on royal blue vinyl, finally making it available in the U.S. This record showcases the incredible guitar skills of Kevin Whitworth and the stellar vocals of Ron Nine, supported by the driving energy of drummer Jason Finn and bassist Jim Tillman. From the hypnotizing hooks of “Out of Focus” to the mysterious and cryptic lyrics of each song, Love Battery’s music is a treasure for any record collector. With influences ranging from R.E.M. to 13th Floor Elevators to Screaming Trees, this record captures the essence of an era in music history.
