Plains, The – I Walked With You a Ways – Vinyl Record

Description

Plains, the duo composed of Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) and Jess Williamson, transports us to the world of Southern sunsets and wide open spaces with their debut album, I Walked With You A Ways. Written between Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Marfa and recorded in Durham, NC with producer Brad Cook, the album’s fresh, on-the-spot conception and spontaneous experimentation evoke the best of country music, formed out of family and friendship, that takes listeners on a voyage of sorrow and hope. Williamson’s scene-painting and Crutchfield’s sharp, honest truth-telling create a powerful combination, inviting us to join them in the backseat, with truck windows open, on a journey of both messiness and unstoppable momentum. May this album bring us closer to ourselves and to each other.
