Description
Denison Witmer’s new album features ten introspective folk-pop tracks, recorded with friend Sufjan Stevens. “Anything At All” showcases Denison’s reflections on everyday experiencesbird watching, carpentry, and hikinghighlighting existential themes like life and purpose. How do we spend our precious time? Activities like crafting clocks, gathering berries, and tucking children in suggest that a caring life brings joy and fulfillment. Crafted over two years, much of the album was recorded in Sufjans Catskills studio during the pandemic, with contributions from others. The album merges Denisons folksy style with Sufjans orchestration: lush strings and woodwinds complement Denisons acoustic guitar and vocals. These folk songs are simple yet filled with wonder.
