Description
The sound of Sleater-Kinney’s ninth studio album, The Center Won’t Hold, is unlike anything women of their age have produced before. After 25 years of making music together, the band continues to challenge and disrupt with reckless finesse. The album reflects the flaws of our current system, exposing them with thought-provoking lyrics and a range of sonic styles, including brutally bold and hauntingly despairing. Produced by Annie Clark (a.k.a. St. Vincent), it is unapologetically powerful and takes up space in more ways than one, shining in unexpected ways.
