The Midwest stretches flat and endless, dotted with landfills that rise like unexpected mountains across the landscape. For Eric D. Johnson, The Landfill represents something far deepera towering presence in his emotional geography. Over 25 years as Fruit Bats, Johnson has built a reputation for patient, meticulous songwriting. His albums unfold across long stretches of time and memory, each song a slow grower that reveals itself gradually. The Landfill marks a departure. Drawing from the morning pages technique of stream-of-consciousness writing, Johnson abandoned material from his archives and instead captured raw, observational songs recorded in real time over two weeks. The result is both a testament to his craft as a singer-songwriter and an unfiltered snapshot of a specific momentimmediate, honest, and alive. This pink splatter in clear vinyl pressing captures that immediacy in physical form, a collectible edition of an album that refuses to be polished into perfection.

Reminder:Please place pre-orders separately from in-stock items to avoid delays, as they will be held until the pre-order release date. If you order multiple pre-order titles, they will be shipped together based on the latest release date.
