Description
Pink Turns Blue’s landmark 1988 sophomore album Meta arrives as an official reissue through Dais Recordsthe first time this darkwave essential has returned to vinyl since its original release. Recorded in a basement studio beneath a Yugoslav stadium by producer Jan Krizaj (known for Laibach), Meta emerged from resourceful ingenuity and the vibrant Ljubljana music scene, capturing a band in creative ascent. Like Joy Division’s evolution on Closer, Meta deepens the band’s sonic palette with nine tracks that became foundational to darkwave’s vocabulary. Atmospheric yet melodic, each passage builds a cohesive meditation on sound and spaceinformed by new equipment, live chemistry, and the beautiful confusion of unfamiliar territory. This limited coke bottle clear vinyl pressing restores the album to its original format with meticulous care: remastered audio, 24-point reverse board jackets, and inner euro sleeves with lyrics. Essential for collectors and darkwave devotees seeking substance beneath the surface.
