Description
Back in orbit five years after its original release, Buscrates debut album Blasting Off returns on vinyl. A modern funk milestone, the album showcases the Pittsburgh producers signature blend of 80s synth-funk, 90s hip-hop grit, and spacey soul.
Standouts include the bouncy Lost and Found with Sally Green, the smooth How Ya Gonna Do It featuring Kate Moe Dee, and the sultry Believe with Anda. Instrumentals like Five Days and Sure Shot (with DJ Epik) hit hard, while Turn It Out and Evergreen glide into jazz-funk territory.
Reissued for longtime fans and new heads alike, Blasting Off still sounds like the future.
