Description
You can’t talk about Texas hip-hop without thinking about Scarface, either as part of the Geto Boys or as a solo rapper. With “The World is Yours” the slowed-down sound and punchy bass that would become synonymous with the region start to become more prevalent and lays the groundwork that many would continue to iterate upon.Scarface lays his personal stories over the top of this laid back production, making the album about his own struggles with death that would go on to be subject he would come back in each of his albums.
